Jacob Torres Agudo’s experiences in becoming a Specialist Experience Researcher

Traditionally in the Market Research and Insights profession, there tends to be a passion for people or data that spurs us on to establish our careers within the industry. This is true for Jacob Torres Agudo, who has had a multi-faceted journey to date, now seeing him specialise in UX for CommBank. Through managing a volunteer cafe, scanning boxes for Australia Post, starting in a classic research agency and moving client side, Jacob has been driven by an underlying interest in the nuances of people and the power of carving out the narrative from complex data to tell a story reflective of the real people behind it into meaningful action. Having just won the People’s Choice Award for his presentation at The Human Insights Conference 2024 with colleague Liam Corry, we caught up with Jacob to better understand what makes him tick and his story to date.
