Turbo Training - Effective Goal Setting: Do what matters in 2022
In this Turbo Training session Tom Loncar will:
- Examine why goals play a crucial role in human flourishing
- Explore why it can be really difficult to gain traction in the areas we really want to change
- Introduce frameworks to help you with formulating goals that can be supported by healthy habit formation.
Participants will be provided with a worksheet to support their effective goal setting for the year ahead.
This session has been specifically placed at a time of year when many New Year resolutions are becoming undone. Change is hard, with the goals that we set ourselves often being doomed to failure before we start for a range of both obvious and more insidious reasons. Why are those ‘first hurdles’ so hard to negotiate? This session will introduce the evidence for acceptance and commitment-based approaches to doing what matters, no matter what, and provide attendees with insights for cultivating their psychological flexibility in pressing forward with their goals in the face of challenges that 2022 will inevitably present.
