Introduction

This course is designed to increase the effectiveness & impact of researchers in the innovation process. This will be achieved through examining the relationship between well-chosen research methodology and successful innovation.


Session 1

  • Developing a hands-on understanding of how best practice innovation works in leading companies
  • Exploring the seven steps necessary for successful innovation, with a focus on suitable research methodologies for each of these steps.
  • How research can be used for a consumer-centric Innovation approach

Session 2

How research can maximise an organisation’s ability to innovate and grow by:

  • Unlocking growth opportunities though identifying Critical Action Points
  • Drawing inspiration beyond existing categories & markets
  • Prioritising the largest opportunities
  • Understanding the impact of Consumers, Competition, Culture & Capabilities
  • Applying research findings to transform concepts & prototypes into saleable products / services

Learning outcomes

At the end of this online Masterclass, you will have learnt how to

  1. Design your research approach by linking strongly to the end innovation goal.
  2. Offer research input at each stage in the client innovation process.
  3. Take a broader role in assisting clients to achieve a successful outcome when pursuing new product development.
