About Kyle Taylor
Kyle’s work experience has spanned across Canada, Lao PDR and Australia in both the private and public sectors, having worked with leading think tanks and academic institutions, government departments, and in the United Nations system. This includes organizations such as the Centre for International Governance Innovation, Global Affairs Canada, International Organization for Migration, New South Wales Government, McKell Institute, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, World Bank Group, and World Food Programme. He has provided research, analysis and evidence-based advice to help organisations, such as those listed above, tackle some of their most important business and policy challenges, utilising a broad range of econometric and data analytics, including forecasting, scenario modelling, and statistical analysis using R. Kyle has conducted research and evaluation across an extensive portfolio, including alcohol and other drugs prevention and harm minimisation, global health, international trade and development, industrial relations and workers’ entitlements, migration and remittances, randomised impact evaluations, and economic analysis and modelling. Findings from his research have been featured in prominent print media, including the Australian Financial Review, the Sydney Morning Herald, and the New Daily. Kyle’s research and its findings have also been cited by leading think tanks, industry groups, and other policy professionals, such as by the Australia Institute’s Centre for Future Work, the Victorian Government’s Department of Premier and Cabinet, and the Australian Government’s Department of the Treasury. Kyle holds a Master of International Public Policy, with concentrations in Human Security and International Economic Relations from the Balsillie School of International Affairs (Canada). He also holds a Bachelor of Arts, Honours Political Science with Legal Studies and Research Specialisation Options from Wilfrid Laurier University (Canada).
