Masterclass 2021 - Mastering Online & Mobile Qualitative Research

Introduction

Who is it for?

The course is for qualitative researchers who want to take online methods beyond webcam groups, in order to get more depth, colour and validity.

It focuses on asynchronous online and mobile qual (i.e. when questions are spread out across a few days, rather than in real-time). It is particularly geared towards research briefs on customer journey, creative, strategic and innovation development.

What will attendees get from it?

Attendees will learn best practice principles and guidelines across the key phases of winning, planning and running online and mobile qualitative research projects. It covers:

Session 1 - WIN

The first module is about Winning projects. How to:

  • Win online and mobile qual projects
  • Choose the right method and technology, and
  • Cost projects accurately.

Session 2 - PLAN

The second is about Planning. How to:

  • Manage risk in logistics
  • Engage stakeholders, and
  • Design inspiring tasks, questions and stimulus.

Session 3 - RUN

The third is 'Run' projects, including how to:

  • Troubleshoot typical challenges
  • Optimise probing, and
  • Perform collaborative analysis.

How is it delivered?

The training is split into three modules which launch each week, across three weeks (‘Winning’, ‘Planning’ and ‘Running’). Each module is made up of a number of video presentations (from 3-10minutes) that can be watched during the week, at the convenience of attendees. There is a live streaming of the entire video at the end of the week, along with a 1hr, live Q&A with the course leader.
