Data Analytics workshop - Sydney
24th Nov 20
Data Analytics Workshop For Consumer Insights
These workshops are suitable for mainstream quantitative practitioners and users of research who are interested in broadening their understanding of the usage and application of analytics in marketing research and consumer insights.
The workshop will commence with a focus on the centrality of problem definition, framing and formulation as a key foundational step in the research design process, ahead of the selection of any analytic technique and associated data sources.
Central will be a focus on a range of categories of analytic techniques – when to use, what they are, pitfalls, outcomes, alternatives. The intention is to familiarise participants with these techniques so they are much more versed in them upon completing the workshop than before. Examples of techniques covered include but are not limited to data reduction techniques, segmentation and classification techniques, conjoint and choice-based trade-off methods, and regression and other driver techniques.
A case study approach will be adopted, in which different real-world commercial case studies will be shared in order to demonstrate the use and application of various techniques.
By the end of the day, you will have learnt:
- About the best practice approach to follow for problem formulation and framing
- About the range of analytic and multivariate techniques available to consumer insights professionals
- Including a detailed examination of the use cases of each and identification of when/when not to use each
Who should do this course?
- Those new to analytics
- General quantitative researches seeking to develop their understanding of analytic methods and when/ how to apply them
- The workshop is not suitable for those already working in applied analytics
